Job Summary
- The overall purpose of this job is to design and develop social media content that promotes the school’s services maintaining visibility in the market.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of the needs of those who use the school’s website to inform content decisions;
- Responsible for developing strategy on digital content to be posted in the social media platforms;
- Help to develop and deliver web content training to nurture and support young content creators (students);
- Execute media campaigns which lead to optimization of the social media platforms;
- Implement the School’s social media strategy;
- Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results;
- Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting the education sector;
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of marketing and communications in the education sector;
- Design campaigns that have a wider viewership by ensuring they are in the local dialect to create awareness of the school;
- Implement and monitor the institution’s marketing campaigns across all digital networks;
- Assist the Business Development and Marketing Manager to Implement a digital platform that addresses customer feedback and complaints;
- Develop and maintain digital marketing content in all the websites for the organization;
- Email marketing, optimization of online social media campaigns on YouTube and google;
- Assist with photography during school events;
- Create/develop marketing materials; poster design and video editing;
- Assist in the delivery of web editorial calendars to deliver clear, consistent messages across channels;
- Ensure social media presence by working together with creative agencies as a channel for promoting the products.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- Membership in either CIM, MSK or KIM
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Digital marketing certification
Desired Competencies and Attributes
- Experience in marketing, art direction, and social media management
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
- Good understanding of the use of design software like Canva illustrator, Photoshop and any video editing software.
- Basic understanding of photography and videography
- Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing
