Job Summary:
Our school is seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher of Physics and Mathematics to join our team. The successful candidate will teach learners across grades 7, 8, and 9 (CBC curriculum) and Forms 2 to 4 (8-4-4 curriculum). This role requires a passion for teaching, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire and support students in achieving academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Physics and Mathematics that meet the needs of learners under both the CBC and 8-4-4 curricula.
Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
Assess, monitor, and evaluate student performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Prepare students for internal and national examinations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students to foster personal and academic growth.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure effective communication with parents and guardians.
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Physics and Mathematics or related field.
Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
Proficiency in delivering both CBC and 8-4-4 curricula.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
